I specialise in backs after having major back surgery myself so understand members pains and inhibitions about exercising with a bad back. DEBORAH HEWERTSON-TISDALL

Yoga Instructor

“The calm one” I used to be a member of iCan, which gave me the passion to take my Yoga Qualifications. I now teach Yoga at iCan on a Tuesday at 12:30pm. It’s a calm and relaxing class suitable for beginners. Members who participate often say: “It’s not stand on your head Yoga, I like that it’s not too hard” Apparently I have a very relaxed and centred manner when I’m teaching which I think is rather nice. My favourite part of my sessions is the relaxation 15 minutes at the end; A chance to stay warm under a blanket, with your head on a soft pillow and just relax body, mind and spirit.
